Everyday Empowerment, 2015

performance through a livestream, duration of 6 minutes

Dear viewer

Welcome on this Monday and thanks for watching

Today you will witness the play ‘existential neighbors’

The neighbor is walking around in the hallway

He knocks on the door

Hi

Hi, how are you?

Can I borrow some sugar?

Of course, no problem. Where do you need it for?

I have heard you ringing doorbells every night asking for tea or sugar.

This must mean you are encountering an existential crisis.

I heard doing the dishes not often enough is bad for your health

It means you are incapable to take care

You are missing the caring aspect

You must feel lonely.

I am sorry to hear this.

I don’t use tea or sugar to reflect upon my existential crisis

Sugar and caffeine affect my brain, they make me feel alive.

I’m alive, that is what Celine sings

I’m alive and my heart will go on.

I often hear you sing this.

You sing very beautiful.

You must feel good when you sing.

I am afraid I will wake the neighbor.

No neighbor minds to wake up with Celine.

It makes us feel.. alive.

Thank you.

(Singing)

When you call on me
When I hear you breathe
I get wings to fly
I feel that I'm alive

When you look at me
I can touch the sky
I know that I'm alive

When you bless the day
I just drift away
All my worries die
I'm glad that I'm alive

You've set my heart on fire
Filled me with love
Made me a woman on clouds above

I couldn't get much higher
My spirit takes flight
'Cause I am alive

When you call on me
When I hear you breathe
I get wings to fly
I feel that I'm alive

When you reach for me
Raising spirits high
God knows that...

That I'll be the one
Standing by through good and through trying times
And it's only begun
I can't wait for the rest of my life

When you call on me
When you reach for me
I get wings to fly
I feel that...

When you bless the day
I just drift away
All my worries die
I know that I'm alive

I get wings to fly
God knows that I'm alive
